How do you reset the change oil indicator?
« on: March 01, 2009, 08:08:45 PM »
in the digital instrument panel.  It came on at my 100 mile mark where the owners manual says to change.  I've done my oil change, how do I get that to go off?

From the digital meter installation instructions:

"To reset the indicator, press and hold the hourmeter/odometer/tripmeter select button and turn the ignition switch to ON for more than 2 seconds.  The indicator will disappear."

"If the oil is changed before the oil change indicator appears, be sure to reset the oil change indicator after changing the oil.  The indicator will appear for 2 seconds, then disappear.  This means the indicator is reset."

Thanks jemanner!  Did you get that from the owners manual?   I couldn't find that anywhere.

Have the digital meter kit in a box, to install as soon as the weather warms, and was included in the instructions.    Not in the owners or repair manual that I could find.
